Due to continued growth, the firm is looking to recruit a Legal Secretary to support its successful Private Client, Probate, Tax & Trusts team based in Farnham.

The Role

Working closely with partners and fee earners, you will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support across a broad range of Private Client matters including:

  • Wills
  • Probate and Estate Administration
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Trusts
  • Tax and succession planning

Your responsibilities will include

  • Preparing, formatting and amending legal documents and correspondence
  • Audio and copy typing
  • Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
  • Opening new client files and maintaining the case management system
  • Liaising with clients, executors, financial advisers and third parties
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally
  • Supporting fee earners with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Assisting with billing and general department administration where required

About You

You'll ideally have

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Private Client Legal Secretary, Probate Secretary or Legal Assistant
  • Experience supporting a Private Client, Wills & Probate or Trusts department
  • Excellent typing and document production skills (around 60 wpm or above preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Outstanding organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A professional, proactive and client-focused approach
