Day-to-day of the role

  • Support experienced lawyers by managing a caseload of Residential Conveyancing matters.
  • Perform a full range of administrative duties including managing calls, responding to enquiries, and providing updates to clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors.
  • Handle file opening procedures ensuring compliance, draft contract packs, and manage post-exchange administration including preparing COTS, conducting final searches, lodging SDLT, and AP1.
  • Deal with Land Registry requisitions and occasionally perform dictation tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of client care, ensuring effective communication and updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal in the legal sector, preferably within Residential Conveyancing.
  • Familiarity with Conveyancing processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Tikit Partner for Windows is advantageous.
  • Excellent client care skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in modern IT systems, both audio and copy typing, and diary management.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
