Ready to lead a global insurance programme that protects and enables business growth? As Group Commercial Insurance Manager, you'll help deliver our risk transfer strategy, optimising risk retention and risk transfer while ensuring we meet statutory and contractual requirements and are suitably protected against insurable losses.

You'll lead commercial insurance programmes, build influential partnerships and drive continuous improvement across our insurance programme. Working closely with the Head of Insurance, you'll lead the placement, renewal and management of commercial insurance policies across our global operations. This includes managing the Specsavers Captive insurance programme, optimising the Total Cost of Risk, maintaining strong governance, overseeing claims reporting and payments, managing budgets and expenditure, reviewing contracts and commercial agreements, and ensuring cover aligns with Specsavers' insurable risk appetite.

You'll also work closely with insurers, brokers, suppliers and stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Risk, Resilience and the wider business to ensure our insurance programme is commercially effective, well governed and fit for purpose.

We're looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance, claims management and global insurance programme governance, alongside leadership experience and the ability to coach and develop teams. You'll be confident influencing, negotiating and communicating with stakeholders at all levels, with the commercial and risk management acumen to solve complex problems and support informed decision-making.

We're looking for someone who enjoys finding better ways of working, leading digital transformation initiatives and delivering practical solutions that add value to the business.

In return, you'll have the opportunity to shape and influence a global insurance strategy, lead meaningful change, work with a wide range of senior stakeholders, influence important business decisions, and drive initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce risk and deliver value.
