We are currently seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join our client's dynamic team in Fareham, Hampshire. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on complex fault diagnostics and has a passion for working on high-end, sports, and performance vehicles. The successful individual will possess extensive experience in electrical and mechanical diagnosis and be capable of taking full ownership of diagnostic tasks from start to finish.

Benefits for the successful Diagnostic Technician:

  • Competitive basic salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum
  • Standard working hours Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks
  • 1-in-3 Saturday rota, working 09:00 to 13:00

Duties of the Diagnostic Technician:

  • Conduct detailed fault finding and electrical diagnosis on a wide range of vehicles
  • Support the workshop team by providing expert diagnostic advice and assistance
  • Take ownership of vehicles from diagnosis through to repair, ensuring high standards of quality
  • Work on a variety of marques, including sports, prestige, and performance cars
  • Assist and guide less experienced technicians to improve team skills
  • Maintain organisation, communication, and safety standards within the workshop

Requirements of the Diagnostic Technician:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Technician, Lead Technician, or equivalent
  • Strong diagnostic skills with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience working on high-performance, prestige, or sports vehicles
  • Confident working independently with minimal supervision
  • Methodical, accurate, and quality-focused approach
  • Ability to lead and support other workshop team members
  • Reliable and professional attitude
