Service Service is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Machinery Fitter to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Fakenham on a temporary six-week assignment.

This is a hands-on role involving the assembly, testing, and fault-finding of specialist machinery. The successful candidate will work across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, supporting machine builds and maintenance activities during a busy production period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble machinery from electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Carry out wiring, soldering, crimping, loom assembly, and panel building
  • Test, inspect, and service machinery to ensure operational performance
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
  • Support machine installation and maintenance activities as required
  • Work with PLC-controlled equipment and assist with fault finding
  • Complete relevant documentation and reports accurately

About You

  • Time-served apprentice or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience in machine wiring, panel building, and electrical assembly
  • Strong fault-finding skills to component level
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings
  • Competent using Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
