The Role

Ready to skip the snooze button and get stuck in? Here`s a snap shot of what you'll be doing day to day -

You will form part of the Maintenance team, working primarily on supporting our Bed Production Operatives, by maintaining, repairing and servicing our static plant machinery - conveyors, hydraulic presses, industrial sewing machines etc.

As part of a small maintenance team, you will also be involved with various other jobs around the site, no day will ever be the same, you certainly won`t be bored and will be able to use all your skills and experiences to ever improve our factory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial sewing machines.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Install new machines and calibrate them to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all routine maintenance and repair activities.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts.

Your standard working week will be 40 hrs Monday -Friday. However we will require some flexibility with shift pattern during holidays and busier productions periods.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Electrical qualification desired (e. g. 18th Edition / NVQ L3) but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills including PLC
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Quick learner when it comes to understanding new systems, new electronics.
  • Welding, soldering and fabrication experience would be advantageous but not essential.
