The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Legal & Commercial Lead to support the day-to-day delivery of legal, contractual and commercial activities across a growing business.
Reporting to the Head of Legal Operations, you will take ownership of contract management, procurement, compliance and commercial support, ensuring contractual obligations and business risks are effectively managed.
This role would suit a candidate with strong commercial law experience, ideally gained within an in-house legal team or commercial legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from review and negotiation through to execution, renewal and termination.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, collaboration agreements and amendments.
- Provide practical legal and commercial advice to internal stakeholders across sales, operations, finance and compliance teams.
- Support client onboarding, procurement activities and supplier due diligence processes.
- Monitor contractual obligations, identify risks and escalate issues where required.
- Maintain legal documentation, contract repositories and key renewal schedules.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards.
- Support process improvements, legal operations efficiencies and automation initiatives.
- Assist with audits, compliance reviews and operational reporting.
- Act as a key point of contact for contractual and commercial queries.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in an in-house legal or commercial legal role.
- Strong commercial law experience with the ability to draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts.
- Excellent understanding of commercial risk, contract management and compliance.
- Experience supporting business stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems.
