A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm based in East Sussex is looking to recruit a Family Legal Aid Administrator to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to join a professional legal environment and play an important role in supporting the firm's legal aid processes.
The Role
The position will focus primarily on the administrative processing of legal aid applications, ensuring that information is gathered, recorded and collated accurately and efficiently. Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing and preparing Legal Aid applications
- Gathering relevant information and documentation from clients
- Accurately collating and recording client data
- Checking information for completeness and accuracy
- Liaising with clients to obtain any outstanding information
- Maintaining clear and organised records
- Ensuring applications are processed efficiently and in line with required procedures
- Providing general administrative support in relation to the legal aid process
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, methodical and confident when dealing with information and clients. You will ideally have:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence communicating with clients and gathering information
- The ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
Any previous legal secretarial, legal administration or legal assistant experience will be considered.
