An established automotive retailer is seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join its busy workshop team in Dorchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Technician to work within a modern dealership environment, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repair work and vehicle inspections to manufacturer standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair work on a range of vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical resources.
- Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional repair requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
- Accurately record all work carried out using dealership systems.
- Liaise with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers regarding job progress and requirements.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and workmanship quality.
- Follow warranty processes and manufacturer compliance guidelines.
- Support workshop efficiency and contribute to team performance targets.
- Engage in ongoing technical training and development.
- CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a franchised dealership or reputable independent workshop.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- MOT Tester qualification.
- Manufacturer training or accreditation.
- Experience with diagnostics, EV or hybrid systems.
