As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you'll deliver Electrical Installation across Levels 1, 2, and 3, teaching both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory. You'll work mainly with 16-18 learners, alongside some adult learners, supporting students as they develop the technical skills, confidence, and knowledge required to succeed within the electrical industry.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Electrical Installation professional with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to deliver in front of a class. You must hold a Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification and ideally have experience across both domestic and commercial installation. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential, as full support is available through the Trade to Teach route, internal teacher training, and ongoing CPD.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician to transition into education, gain teaching qualifications, and make a lasting impact on the next generation of electrical professionals.

  • Deliver Electrical Installation across Levels 1, 2, and 3.
  • Teach practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory.
  • Work mainly with 16-18 learners, with some adult learners.
  • Average group sizes of around 16 learners.
  • Approximately 23 hours teaching/contact time per week.
  • Support learners with technical knowledge, practical skills, and progression.
  • Full teacher training available through the College's Trade to Teach route.
  • Additional CPD available, including 18th Edition and Inspection & Testing.

  • Clear progression opportunities into Team Leader, Curriculum Lead, and senior leadership routes.

The person:

  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
  • Experience within the Electrical Installation industry.
  • Ideally experienced across domestic and commercial installation.
  • 18th Edition and Inspection & Testing / 2391 desirable.
  • Teaching, assessor, or IQA qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • Confident delivering technical knowledge in front of learners.
  • Strong team player with a proactive and driven approach.
  • Passion for supporting and developing the next generation of electricians.
