An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a growing and successful accountancy practice in Diss.
Working closely with Partners and the senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse client portfolio, developing high-performing teams and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Your key responsibilities will include
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients efficiently and effectively
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Coaching, mentoring and developing seniors and assistant managers
- Providing regular, constructive feedback and supporting team members with their career development
- Completing appraisals, one-to-one meetings and probation reviews
- Overseeing workflow, holiday planning and the effective deployment of resources
- Reviewing complex assignments and special project work
- Supporting the preparation and presentation of proposals and tenders
- Working with Partners and Directors to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Developing your network of professional contacts and referrers
- Spotting opportunities to introduce clients to the firm's wider services
- Contributing to marketing activities, networking events and external speaking opportunities
- Identifying and delivering internal training requirements
- Ensuring the team provides consistently high standards of client service
- What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA, ACCA or equivalently qualified, with significant post-qualified experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.
You will also be able to demonstrate
- Experience of successfully managing a portfolio of clients
- Previous responsibility for leading, managing and developing a team
- A positive and credible leadership style
- Experience of coaching or mentoring colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage changing deadlines and priorities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proven ability to develop professional networks and relationships with referrers
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to client and internal matters
- Commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering excellent client service
