Planning Engineer
Job Description

  • Supporting the New Product Introduction (NPI) of Airbus machining and assembly packages, ensuring Lean manufacturing techniques are utilised where possible.
  • Planning methods of manufacture and creating detailed route cards and work instructions for new machined, fabricated and assembled detail parts.
  • Planning lower-level details through to the manufacture and assembly of large top-level parts, with a strong understanding of customer schedules and BOMs.
  • Supporting all departments with engineering planning and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
  • Creating rework schemes and detailed planning for non-conforming products.

    Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Experience working with Airbus specifications and processors.
  • Knowledge of machining, forming and assembly processes to enable detailed manufacturing routings to be created.
  • Proven experience of planning and creating route cards or job cards.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
