Our client, an established engineering consultancy, require an experienced Gas Turbine Programme Manager to join their multi-disciplined team working complex manufacturing programmes.

Candidates would need to have the right to live and work in the UK and be eligible for BPSS security clearance. This is a remote working role, with an occasional site presence required in Derby for the odd meeting, and some travel (once or twice per year to a supplier in Europe).

What the role of the Gas Turbine Programme Manager entails:

You will lead and deliver complex Gas Turbine component programmes involving aerofoils, blades, vanes, combustor and hot gas path components across MRO, repair development, manufacturing and supply chain environments. This project is part of a reverse engineering program for a leading Gas Turbine Services client.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end programme leadership, driving technical, commercial and operational execution across multiple workstreams while serving as the primary interface between engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers and executive stakeholders.

What experience you need to be the successful Gas Turbine Programme Manager:

  • Proven experience within: Gas Turbines, Aerospace, Energy or Industrial Turbomachinery
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience delivering programmes for Gas Turbine System OEMs
  • Strong understanding of gas turbine engine architecture and component lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of aerofoil manufacturing and repair processes.
  • Experience with FPQ, FAI, PPAP, PLQ, NPI, APQP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma
  • Strong PMO and governance experience.
  • Ability to manage multi-million-pound technical programmes.
  • Experience in manufacturing process planning for bladed components such as Turbine blades, Compressor blades and Vanes
  • A good knowledge of inspection methods and some knowledge of material associated with Turbine blades, Compressor blades and Vanes
  • Ability to build strong relations with customers, internal team and other stakeholders.
