The business is growing, and this role will give you the opportunity to make a tangible impact, improving the quality of reporting, strengthening financial controls and helping the wider business understand and use its numbers more effectively.

They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, build trust quickly and leave the finance function in a stronger position than they found it.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function and provide greater financial visibility across the business.

Your remit will include

  • Producing accurate management accounts across multiple companies and sites.
  • Taking ownership of the full finance function from transactional through to final accounts.

  • Improving stock-control reporting and investigating inventory variances.
  • Leading and developing the existing accounts team.
  • Improving and streamlining controls and processes.
  • Developing clearer and more commercially useful reporting through Power BI.
  • Ensuring the quality and integrity of financial data.
  • Working closely with operational teams across multiple sites to explain financial performance and support better decision making.

You will ideally have

We are looking for a qualified, part-qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) who is confident taking ownership of a finance function and personally producing the accounts.

  • Strong hands-on management accounting / financial accounting experience.
  • Experience managing the full accounting cycle.
  • Previous exposure to budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
  • Strong balance-sheet and reconciliation experience.
  • Experience with VAT, audit and year-end accounts.
  • Good understanding of stock, margins and profitability.
  • Experience working across multiple entities or sites.
  • Strong Excel and ideally Power BI experience.
  • The confidence to work with non-finance stakeholders and explain financial information clearly.

Hospitality experience would be a benefit, although candidates from other multi-site or similarly fast paced environments will also be considered.
