I am currently recruiting for an exciting Social Worker opportunity with a leading private healthcare provider. Due to client confidentiality, I am unable to disclose the service name at this stage, however, this is a specialist inpatient rehabilitation service based in Cullompton, Devon. The service is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their multidisciplinary team, with the opportunity available as either a locum or Temp-to-Perm placement or a permanent position for the right candidate. This could be a fantastic opportunity for a Social Worker looking to relocate to Devon and join a supportive service where you can make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults.

About the Role:

You will be joining an 18-bed women's Level 2 rehabilitation inpatient service, supporting patients as they progress through their recovery pathway and prepare for increased independence within the community. The role will involve:

  • Managing a complex caseload and completing social care assessments
  • Carrying out risk assessments and statutory reporting (CPA/MH)
  • Supporting safeguarding processes and internal investigations
  • Working closely with families, Local Authorities, and external agencies
  • Contributing to MDT meetings and care planning
  • Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy, and community support services
  • Supporting patients with discharge planning and future goals
  • Working collaboratively with clinical teams to deliver high-quality care

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Previous experience within a similar healthcare environment
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and social care assessments

Location: Cullompton, Devon (EX15)
