We are seeking a Accounts Manager to join one of our prestigious Practice clients who would oversee staff and client relations across our Crewe offices.

This role is ideal for someone with extensive practice experience in accounts preparation, bookkeeping, tax compliance, client portfolio management, and supervising junior staff.

Day-to-day of the role

  • Manage and oversee the accounts preparation and bookkeeping activities for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparing and reviewing self-assessments for sole traders, partnerships, and other taxpayers.
  • Handle VAT returns, Limited Company Accounts, and CT600 Corporation Tax Returns.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
  • Maintain direct communication with clients, ensuring their financial and accounting needs are met efficiently.
  • Utilise accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero, and Sage to manage financial records and reports accurately.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ideally ACCA or ACA qualified but will consider a QBE with some qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an accounting practice.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounts preparation, bookkeeping, and tax compliance.
  • Proficient in managing client portfolios and supervising junior staff.
  • Skilled in using major accounting software like Quick Books, Xero, and Sage.
