thefutureworks are currently recruiting for a Sales Order & Import/Export Coordinator on behalf of an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Coventry. This is a varied commercial administration role where you will be responsible for managing customer orders from receipt through to delivery, while working closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance and customers.
We are looking for someone with previous order processing, Import/Export administration or commercial administration experience, ideally gained within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Processing customer sales orders accurately from receipt through to delivery.
- Reviewing customer purchase orders, checking pricing, specifications, quantities and delivery requirements.
- Liaising with Sales and Engineering teams to resolve technical or commercial queries.
- Preparing order acknowledgements and communicating delivery dates to customers.
- Monitoring outstanding orders and proactively dealing with delays or changes.
- Raising and processing purchase orders and monitoring supplier deliveries.
- Supporting import/export administration, including shipping and customs documentation.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and freight forwarders regarding deliveries.
- Supporting invoicing, credit control and resolving pricing or invoice discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate customer, order and financial information within the company's ERP system.
About You
You'll be an organised and commercially minded administrator who enjoys working in a busy environment and managing multiple priorities. Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience in sales order processing, order management, sales administration or commercial administration.
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing or a technical environment.
- Good understanding of customer purchase orders and order processing.
- Experience raising purchase orders.
- Previous experience using an ERP system such as Dynamics, Sage, SAP or similar.
- Understanding of import/export and international shipping processes.
- Some experience supporting invoicing and/or credit control.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and internal departments.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
What's On Offer?
- £35,000 - £40,000 salary, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
- 25 Day's annual leave plus UK bank holidays.
