Key Responsibilities:
- Support the mechanical design and development of precision-engineered rotating equipment, including motors, pumps, compressors, or gearbox assemblies.
- Produce detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings (preferably using SolidWorks).
- Conduct engineering hand calculations.
- Ensure designs meet relevant performance, cost, compliance, and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams across R&D, production, testing, and quality to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, FMEAs, and continuous improvement activities.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Experience in the design and development of rotating machinery or high-speed mechanical systems.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and technical drawing creation (SolidWorks preferred).
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical design theory, structural integrity, thermodynamics, and dynamics of rotating systems.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (API, ISO, ASME, etc.).
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively within the team.
