As AV Manager, you'll oversee the delivery of all audiovisual services across a busy hotel venue, ensuring every conference, meeting and event runs seamlessly.
You'll combine your technical expertise with excellent customer service, building strong relationships with clients, identifying additional service opportunities, and ensuring the highest standards are maintained at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all AV requirements for conferences, meetings and live events.
- Deliver exceptional technical support before, during and after events.
- Build strong relationships with clients and venue teams.
- Identify opportunities to enhance event delivery through additional AV services.
- Prepare quotations and event proposals.
- Set up, operate and maintain professional AV equipment.
- Manage on-site AV inventory and equipment maintenance.
- Produce event schedules and weekly operational reports.
- Lead and support the on-site AV technician while coordinating freelance technicians when required.
- Work closely with hotel operations to ensure event spaces are fully prepared.
- Support additional venues with equipment and technical requirements when needed.
About You
We're looking for someone who is technically capable, commercially aware and passionate about delivering first-class events.
You'll ideally have
- Previous experience in an AV Manager or senior AV Technician role.
- Strong technical knowledge of audio, video, lighting, staging, rigging and live event equipment.
- Experience working within hotels, conference venues or the live events industry.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
- The ability to work independently while also leading a team.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- A professional, client-focused approach.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Hiretrack experience would be advantageous).
- A full UK driving licence.
