Are you a Multi-Skilled or Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to move away from shift work and into a permanent Monday-Friday days-based role? Do you want to work within a modern, technically interesting facility offering flexible hours, excellent benefits and genuine work-life balance?

Yolk Recruitment are supporting a market-leading business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer as they continue to invest in and strengthen their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation supplying critical products and services across the UK, offering long-term stability and exposure to a varied range of plant, equipment and technologies.

You will be joining a small engineering team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the facility and taking ownership of fault-finding and repairs across a mixture of electrical, mechanical and site services equipment. An electrical bias would be particularly attractive, although we're equally interested in speaking with good all-round Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers with strong fault-finding skills and the right attitude.

Whether your background is within food and beverage, pharmaceutical, aerospace, healthcare, general manufacturing, process industries or another engineering environment, we're keen to hear from experienced Maintenance Engineers looking for a move into a stable, days-based position.

What we're looking for:

  • Time-served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Electrical or multi-skilled maintenance background.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic ability would be particularly advantageous.
  • Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Experience maintaining production, process, plant or site services equipment.
  • Good general mechanical maintenance skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to fault-finding and problem solving.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small engineering team.
  • Experience within a regulated environment would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

Engineers from a wide range of sectors are encouraged to apply, including:

  • Food and beverage.
  • General manufacturing.
  • Pharmaceutical and healthcare.
  • Aerospace and engineering.
  • Medical devices.
  • Process industries.
  • Packaging.
  • Utilities.
  • Automotive.
  • MOD and defence.
  • Building services and facilities management.

Experience maintaining equipment such as motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, control panels, electrical systems, sensors, drives, production machinery and general site services equipment would all be relevant.

And this is what you'll get in return:

  • £44,000 basic salary.
  • One in five week standby allowance, taking the package to circa £47,000.
  • Overtime available paid at x1.5 and x2.
  • Double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
  • Flexible start times available.
  • One Saturday per month with TOIL.
  • Excellent pension scheme with enhanced employer contributions of up to 8%.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
  • Enhanced company sick pay.
  • Life assurance of 8x salary.
  • Employee Assistance Programme and Virtual GP service.
  • Employee discounts and reward platform.
  • Long-term stability and development opportunities.

You will be joining a growing business with a strong reputation, operating within a clean and modern environment where engineers are given ownership, technical variety and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

For Maintenance Engineers currently working shifts, nights or weekends, this offers something increasingly difficult to find: Monday-Friday days, a strong overall package, technical variety and genuine work-life balance.

Are you up to the challenge? Please get in touch today with engineering specialist Liam Reid.

Please note, whilst we do our best to contact all candidates, due to the high number of applications we receive we cannot guarantee this for every role.
