Conveyancing Assistant

Location: Buxton
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

CRA Consulting are working with a well-established law firm in Buxton who are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join their property team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience working within a legal environment who is looking to develop their career within residential conveyancing.

The firm are open to considering candidates from a range of legal backgrounds, including Legal Administrators, Legal Secretaries and Legal Assistants, as well as candidates who already have some conveyancing experience.

The Role

Working alongside the conveyancing team, you will provide day-to-day support across residential property matters and help ensure files progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Providing administrative and legal support to the conveyancing team.
  • Opening and maintaining client files.
  • Preparing correspondence and legal documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, solicitors and other third parties.
  • Requesting and chasing searches and documentation.
  • Assisting with the progression of property transactions.
  • Keeping clients updated throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Maintaining accurate case management records.
  • Providing general support to fee earners and the wider property team.

About You

The key requirement is previous experience working within a legal environment. Conveyancing experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential.
