Mobility Service & Delivery Technician

At Mobility Co established in 1965, we help improve individuals independence, comfort, and quality of life through specialist mobility and healthcare equipment.

From mobility scooters and powerchairs to profiling beds and home adaptations, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding products alongside exceptional customer service.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable, professional, and hands-on Service & Delivery Technician to join our team.

This is an rewarding role for someone who enjoys being on the road, working with customers face-to-face, delivering and installing products, solving technical problems, and making a genuine difference to people's lives every day.

About the Role

The Service & Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering, installing, servicing, repairing, demonstrating, and collecting mobility and healthcare equipment across customer homes, care facilities, and business locations with some occasional overnight stays.

You will represent Mobility Co in the field and play a vital role in ensuring every customer receives a safe, professional, and friendly experience.

This role combines driving, product installation, technical servicing, customer support, and warehouse assistance, making it ideal for someone practical, organised, and customer focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver mobility and healthcare equipment to customer homes and
  • facilities
  • Assemble, install, and set up products on site.
  • Demonstrate product operation, charging, and safety procedures to customers
  • Ensure customers feel confident using their equipment before leaving
  • Complete delivery paperwork and capture customer signatures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of company vehicles
  • Servicing, Repairs & Technical Support
  • Carry out servicing, adjustments, and minor repairs on site
  • Diagnose faults and identify repair requirements
  • Escalate complex issues to the Aftersales Manager or workshop team
  • Assist with workshop repairs, assembly, refurbishment, cleaning, and preparation when required
  • Ensure products are functioning safely and correctly after service work
  • Collections & Aftersales Support
  • Collect products requiring repair, warranty work, or returns
  • Safely transport collected equipment back to the warehouse
  • Accurately label and log all collected items
  • Provide detailed fault reports to the aftersales team
  • Ensure excellent customer care during all service visits
  • Warehouse & Operational Support
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles
  • Support warehouse staff with stock movements when required
  • Help maintain clean, organised delivery, warehouse, and repair areas
  • Dispose of packaging and waste safely and responsibly
  • Ensure tools, accessories, and vehicle stock are maintained
  • Booking in stock upon arrival
  • Dispatching stock via couriers
  • Systems & Documentation
  • Update CRM systems and order notes following deliveries or service visits
  • Correctly tag jobs (Warranty, Insurance, Repair, Delivered, Collected)
  • Maintain accurate records of completed jobs and visit outcomes
  • Follow delivery and service schedules using routing software and shared calendars
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Carry out regular vehicle safety checks
  • Follow manual handling procedures at all times
  • Use PPE where required
  • Safely handle batteries, chargers, and electrical components
  • Report accidents, incidents, or near misses immediately
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have

  • A full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Good practical / hands-on technical ability
  • Confidence assembling and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical products
  • Excellent time management and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • A professional, courteous, and solution-focused attitude

Experience in mobility equipment, healthcare equipment, vehicle mechanics, engineering, field service, appliance repair, or technical installation would be highly advantageous, but full training can be provided for the right candidate.
