VNA Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Electrician to join a busy Repairs and Maintenance team working across multiple sites throughout the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrician looking for stable, ongoing full-time work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The successful candidate will work across a varied commercial property portfolio, carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs, installations, fault finding, inspections and testing. This role would suit an experienced Electrician who is confident working independently, travelling between sites and delivering work to a high standard.
The Role
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repairs
- Completing electrical installations and upgrades
- Carrying out inspections and testing
- Installing and maintaining commercial lighting systems
- Installing and maintaining fire alarm systems
- Installing EV charging points
- Installing and maintaining commercial electrical appliances
- Installing and modifying electrical fixtures and fittings
- Completing planned preventative maintenance
- Carrying out remedial works and electrical repairs
- Working across a range of commercial buildings and sites
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards
- Completing job sheets, reports and associated documentation accurately
- Travelling between sites across the West Midlands as required
Essential Requirements
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Level 3 Electrical qualification
- Strong previous experience working as an Electrician within a commercial environment
- Experience in electrical maintenance, repairs and installations
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good knowledge of current electrical regulations and safe working practices
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing, or equivalent
- PASMA
- IPAF
- EV charging point installation or maintenance experience
- Solar PV experience
- Heat pump electrical experience
Additional Information
An Enhanced DBS check and DVLA check will be required for this position. Candidates will also be expected to provide their own hand tools.
