Adecco are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in Gloucestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter to become part of a skilled production team responsible for assembling complex mechanical equipment from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in the build, assembly and preparation of bespoke engineered products, ensuring they meet the highest quality and performance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble complex mechanical equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Interpret bills of materials, assembly instructions and production specifications.
- Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment and installation activities.
- Complete production documentation, check sheets and quality records accurately.
- Identify and report assembly, quality or engineering issues.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure products meet required standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety and company procedures at all times.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' hands-on mechanical fitting or assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong mechanical assembly and fitting skills.
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
