Are you a Field Service Engineer looking for a varied role working on modern construction and industrial machinery? Are you experienced in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault finding and looking to join a hands-on, customer-focused engineering team? This role is ideal for a Field Service Engineer with experience working on plant, construction, agricultural, heavy machinery, or similar equipment. You'll work across Essex, Norfolk and the surrounding areas, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance while representing the business professionally at customer sites.

Your Job As A Field Service Engineer Will Include:

  • Servicing, maintaining, fault finding, and repairing SANY construction and industrial machinery
  • Working on a varied range of equipment including Telehandlers, Rollers, Excavators from 1t to 75t, Material Handlers and Loading Shovels
  • Carrying out mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs
  • Attending customer sites and completing work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics to support accurate fault diagnosis
  • Identifying and requesting the correct parts required to complete repairs
  • Completing service reports, PDI documentation, manufacturer paperwork, and records of parts used
  • Communicating with customers and machine operators regarding machinery operation, repairs, and relevant health & safety requirements
  • Working closely with Service Controllers, Service Supervisors, Technical Managers, and other Field Engineers
  • Providing technical feedback on recurring faults, customer issues, and potential improvements
  • Supporting the wider service team and taking ownership of field-based jobs

As A Field Service Engineer You Will Have:

  • Experience working on plant, construction, agricultural, heavy machinery, or similar equipment
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding ability
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Experience completing service records, job reports, defect records, and manufacturer paperwork
  • Experience with SANY machinery would be advantageous, although transferable experience with other manufacturers will be considered
  • Good IT literacy and confidence using smart devices to complete job reports and record defects
  • A full current UK driving licence
  • A professional and customer-focused approach with good communication skills
  • A flexible and reliable attitude with a willingness to support the wider service team
