We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client based in Cirencester.
Position Overview
As a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of customer vehicles through diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
Working with a variety of vehicle systems, you will identify and resolve faults efficiently while maintaining high manufacturer and company standards.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
You will be part of a busy workshop environment where teamwork, quality, and efficiency are highly valued.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Confirm reported vehicle issues, diagnose faults, and carry out necessary repairs
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting across a range of vehicle systems
- Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
- Complete vehicle health checks, including customer video presentations of vehicle condition
- Advise on any future maintenance or repair work identified during inspections
- Ensure jobs are completed within allocated timeframes to meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of completed work where required
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised at all times
- Comply with health and safety standards and participate in ongoing training
- Stay up to date with evolving vehicle technology through regular manufacturer training
- You will ideally have
- At least three years' experience working on light vehicles
- NVQ level 2/3
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across a broad range of vehicle systems
- A preference for working in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent time management and the ability to manage time allowed for each job
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- A customer-focused mindset
- The ability to thrive in a busy workshop environment
- A full UK driving licence
