Title Checker / Residential Conveyancing

Our client a leading law firm based in Chelmsford have an opportunity for a Title Checker to join their Residential Conveyancing Department.

If you are an experienced Conveyancing professional with substantial legal property experience this may be the perfect role for you.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a team with a reputation for providing excellent client care.

Responsibilities

  • Title checking
  • Preparation of contracts and supporting documents
  • Liaising with clients, client's agents, borrowers, buyer's solicitors, internal departments
  • Dealing with post completion issues
  • Reporting on title , settling transactions and client reporting
  • Dealing with pre- exchange and post – exchange matters
  • Progressing the conveyancing process in an efficient, accurate and timely manner whilst adhering to legal requirements
  • To seek assistance from the Head of Department in respect of unusual or difficult problems arising on transactions
  • Personal Specification
  • Able to manage your own caseload
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think ahead , prioritise workload, respond to and manage changing circumstances and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and positive attitude to work
