A highly regarded and growing accountancy practice is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join their established tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with trusted client advisory work.
You will manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, business owners, entrepreneurs, trusts and estates, providing both compliance and advisory services while helping to develop and support more junior members of the team.
The Role
As a Private Client Tax Manager, you'll take responsibility for delivering a first-class service to a varied client portfolio, ensuring compliance obligations are met while identifying valuable tax planning opportunities.
Working closely with Partners and senior stakeholders, you'll become a trusted adviser to clients, helping them navigate increasingly complex tax matters whilst contributing to the continued success and growth of the private client team.
Key responsibilities will include
- Managing a portfolio of private clients with complex tax affairs.
- Reviewing personal tax returns and ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
- Providing advice on a range of personal tax matters, including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Trusts.
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and wider advisory services.
- Supporting business development activities, including proposals, fee quotations and client presentations.
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing coaching and technical guidance.
- Managing workflow across your portfolio to ensure high levels of client service and efficiency.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across other service lines to deliver joined-up advice.
About You
You'll be a confident and commercially minded tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients and developing trusted relationships. You will ideally have:
- CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified with strong private client tax experience.
- Significant experience within a UK accountancy practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across private client tax.
- Experience reviewing complex personal tax returns.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and client demands.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and delivering added value to clients.
