- Senior Accountant - Overview
- Manage a portfolio of SME clients, acting as their main point of contact.
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Attend regular client meetings, providing commercial advice and identifying potential tax-saving opportunities.
- Review VAT returns for a varied client base.
- Complete up to 10 audits per year from planning through to completion (audit experience beneficial but not essential).
- Assist with the preparation of charity accounts where required, with training available.
- Work closely with a collaborative team while building long-term client relationships.

- ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Experience producing and reviewing management accounts.
- Confident managing a client portfolio and attending client meetings.
- Knowledge of VAT returns.
- Audit experience or an interest in maintaining audit exposure would be highly advantageous.
- Charity accounts experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
