Are you a Technical Estimator with experience in sheet metal fabrication, looking to join a growing family-run engineering business where you can play a key role in delivering bespoke projects for a range of manufacturers? This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist sheet metal fabrication company supplying high-quality components and assemblies into manufacturers. In this role, you will be responsible for taking customer enquiries from initial drawings and specifications through to accurate quotations, working closely with customers, suppliers, and the production team to ensure projects are commercially viable and manufactured efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have previous estimating experience within a sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.

The Role:

  • Producing accurate technical quotations for sheet metal fabrication projects
  • Reviewing engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Estimating material, laser cutting, folding, fabrication, and subcontract costs
  • Supporting production with technical queries and manufacturing improvements
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers throughout projects
  • Monday to Thursday working pattern (4-day week)

The Person:

  • Estimating experience within sheet metal fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Reliably commute to Burnley
