We are seeking a Paralegal or Senior Paralegal to join our client's Document Review and Collation (DRC) team.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a centre of excellence, known for its optimised managed legal services.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and be ready to take a lead role in this workstream.

Day-to-Day of the Role

  • Undertake first-level reviews of DSARs ensuring high standards of detail, accuracy, and speed, including the application of redactions and exemptions under data protection legislation.
  • Act as lead reviewer on DSAR matters, managing the scope, review process, and final response production.
  • Conduct quality checks on review work by colleagues, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Analyse new DSAR instructions, streamline processes for efficiency, and use e-disclosure platforms like Relativity for document reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with client teams and external clients, ensuring clear documentation of instructions throughout the lifecycle of a matter.
  • Report regularly to management on the progression of ongoing matters, manage deadlines and workloads effectively.
  • Train new team members on DSAR processes and technology.
  • Manage financial outputs of projects, ensuring all changes to time, cost, and quality are considered and communicated.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Significant experience as a paralegal in document review or data protection, specifically with DSARs.
  • Ability to lead DSAR reviews from scoping to production with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using document review platforms such as Relativity or similar e Discovery tools.
  • Strong drafting skills and experience maintaining training materials and precedents.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, able to work with colleagues, clients, and external providers effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong self-management, multitasking, and prioritisation skills.
  • High level of accuracy and organisational skills, adaptable to a varied workload.
