This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to use advanced mechanical design expertise on complex components for aerospace gas turbine engines and power generation systems.
In addition to legacy aerospace platforms, the role also supports the next generation of military and commercial platforms.
The primary functions are to drive gearbox design, create 3D CAD models, create 2D drawings, create and track drawing changes in Teamcenter, prepare and deliver design reviews, and document work for internal records and for regulatory & customer consumption.
The design tools are Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
Interacting closely with project managers and analytical teams are important to meeting project deliverables and milestones.
It is important to understand and adhere to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing practices, act with speed and accuracy for on-time execution and apply six sigma thought processes and tools.
Listen to internal customer's needs and support the organization in reducing cycle time and improving quality of deliverables.

- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and industry standards
- Ensure compliance with Honeywells quality standards, Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness
- YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
- 6+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
- Ability to proficiently create, revise, and validate 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
