Your new role
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients: annual self-assessment tax returns, tax planning, onboarding, and ongoing support.
- Provide proactive tax advice to individuals, including high-net-worth clients, business owners, and families.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention through excellent service and communication.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire team members, including trainees and junior tax staff.
- Promote personal tax services in the local community and through professional networks.
- Meet prospective personal tax clients and convert opportunities.
- Collaborate across the group to optimise workflows and resources, especially between tax and accounts teams.
- Ensure billing, client service, and documentation is accurate and timely, in line with regulatory requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified tax professional (CTA, ATT, ACCA/ICAEW with significant personal tax experience, or equivalent).
- Corporate Tax experience an advantage.
- Delivery of high quality, accurate, and timely work.
- Demonstrated expertise in personal tax compliance and advisory work.
- Strong leadership, team engagement and people development skills.
- Commercial judgement.
- Excellent relationship management, promoting trust, providing proactive advice, and collaborating on clients' personal financial goals.
