Your New Role
This is a great opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to move in-house or build upon existing in-house experience.
Reporting to the General Counsel, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, gaining hands-on exposure to a broad range of commercial, corporate and strategic matters.
You'll be part of a growing legal team, supported by external counsel and legal technology tools, with plenty of scope to develop your responsibilities as the business grows.
You'll be responsible for
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, including equipment supply and installation agreements
- Supporting the sales, procurement and operations teams with day-to-day legal advice
- Assisting with dispute management and regulatory compliance matters
- Contributing to ESG and sustainability initiatives, including the company's BCorp accreditation journey
- Working closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel on a variety of legal and commercial projects across the business What You'll Need to Succeed
- 1-5 years' PQE, ideally gained in projects and/or construction
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial and project agreements, including high-value contracts
- Strong technical skills combined with a practical, commercial approach
- Comfortable building relationships with stakeholders across a business
- A proactive and adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work in a fast-paced environment
- Based in or within a commutable distance of Bristol, with flexibility for hybrid working Previous in-house experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
Equally, solar sector experience is not required.
