Implementation Consultant

Annual Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

We are delighted to be recruiting for an Implementation Consultant to join a growing consultancy team.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of finance business processes and a passion for using technology to solve real business challenges.

This is a client-facing role that combines finance expertise, systems implementation, process improvement, configuration, training, and problem solving.

You'll work closely with customers to deliver successful software implementations and drive meaningful business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the organisation's ERP software platform.
  • Manage end-to-end software implementations, including design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
  • Provide consultancy and support to existing customers throughout their system lifecycle.
  • Facilitate finance and business process workshops with key stakeholders.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into practical system solutions.
  • Advise customers on best practices, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned to agreed objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and third-party stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot system, process, configuration, and data-related issues.
  • Deliver user training and support knowledge transfer activities.
  • Lead data migration, reconciliation, testing, and go-live readiness activities.
  • Contribute ideas for product enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including scoping, demonstrations, and proposal development where required.
  • Travel to client sites as needed.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW, or CIMA).
  • Experience within finance, accounting, finance systems, ERP implementation, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of finance and business processes.
  • Experience improving processes, implementing systems, supporting system users, or contributing to finance transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and solve complex problems logically.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical and financial concepts to a range of audiences.
  • Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
