We are recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager (Advisory) on behalf of a highly respected and growing accountancy practice in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Tax Manager, Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, or experienced Tax Advisory professional to join a successful tax team, providing specialist corporate tax advice to SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and entrepreneurial clients.

The role offers excellent exposure to advisory work, complex tax planning projects, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced Tax Partners and Directors.

The Role

  • Deliver a wide range of corporate tax advisory services, including advising SMEs and owner-managed businesses on corporate tax planning.
  • Manage corporate tax advisory projects from start to finish.
  • Advise on corporate restructures, reorganisations, and transactions.
  • Support EIS/SEIS, shareholder planning, and remuneration strategies.
  • Review corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Prepare tax reports, technical advice, and tax calculations.
  • Liaise with HMRC on clearances and technical enquiries.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities for clients.
  • Support R&D tax relief, VAT, SDLT, and wider advisory projects.
  • Mentor junior team members and review their work.

About You

  • Strong Corporate Tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Experience delivering corporate tax advisory work.
  • Knowledge of corporation tax, business restructuring, and shareholder planning.
  • Experience advising SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
  • CTA qualification preferred, although ACA, ACCA, or ATT qualified candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach.
  • Candidates with a compliance background who are looking to move into a more advisory-focused role are encouraged to apply.
