We are working with a growing manufacturing business specialising in innovative HVAC-related solutions, supplying products into a global market.

Due to continued expansion and increased demand, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical Production Engineer to join their team in Bridgwater.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, collaborative engineering team where you will play a key role in both new product development and continuous improvement of existing designs, supporting a business that is experiencing strong sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project requirements including product functionality and application
  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D designs using engineering software (Inventor preferred)
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system
  • Work closely with Operations to support manufacturing processes and improvements
  • Develop and refine designs to meet performance, cost, and quality requirements
  • Assess production methods and contribute to cost-effective manufacturing strategies
  • Liaise with suppliers to help establish and maintain a robust supply chain
  • Evaluate product performance across durability, safety, and functionality
  • Implement feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Production or Design Engineering role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles
  • Experience within HVAC, or working with pumps, heat exchangers, fans, or pipe sizing
  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (Vault experience desirable)
  • Comfortable managing BOMs and working within ERP systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
