This Sales Engineer position can be based in West Yorkshire or remotely within the North East region, offering flexibility alongside genuine long-term career progression.
The Role
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the delivery of technical manufacturing projects from concept through to completion. The successful Sales Engineer will work closely with internal project, production, and commercial teams to ensure customer expectations are consistently met while contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage existing customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Support the sales and project teams with customer communications and commercial activities
- Gather and communicate technical and commercial project information internally
- Prepare quotations and provide after-sales support
- Maintain accurate CRM/ERP records and reporting
- Attend customer meetings both online and onsite, delivering presentations and supporting negotiations
- Follow up on leads and enquiries to convert opportunities into secured business
- Provide regular sales forecasts, market feedback, and progress updates to management
Skills & Experience
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly injection moulding and product development
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised, analytical, and detail-oriented approach
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
