Interim Finance Manager - 6 Month Contract in Bracknell | £40m Turnover Business | 6 Months FTC
5 days per week in the office initially, moving to 4 once fully trained.
Are you an experienced Qualified Accountant, previously a Finance Manager or Management Accountant, looking for an interim opportunity where you can make a real impact? We're working with an established Bracknell based business with an annual turnover of around £40 million, who are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join them for an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role within a busy finance function, ideally suited to someone who can quickly get up to speed, take ownership and provide strong financial management and support to the wider business and the FD.
The Role - Interim Finance Manager
You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management accounts for the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting the senior leadership team with meaningful financial insight. Key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of month-end and management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Providing financial analysis and commercial insight
- Supporting the production of accurate monthly reporting
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business
- Monthly production of VAT returns
- Supporting the FD with monthly board packs and ad-hoc projects
- Supporting the business with an imminent ERP system
- Responsible for the Fixed Asset Register
- Supporting the Finance Director with ad-hoc projects and analysis
About You
We're looking for a Qualified Accountant, to be based on-site in their Bracknell Office, with strong all-round finance experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience operating at Finance Manager level
- Strong management accounts and month-end experience
- Excellent understanding of balance sheet controls and reconciliations
- Good commercial awareness and analytical skills
- The ability to quickly understand a business and make an impact
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
