Axon Moore is partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a Management Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) looking to join a commercially focused finance team in a role offering genuine variety, exposure and career development.

Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, providing meaningful commercial insight and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
  • Produce detailed variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning processes.
  • Analyse large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support commercial decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand key performance drivers.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and systems.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial controls are maintained.
  • Support a range of ad hoc analysis, reporting and finance projects.

Person Specification

  • Qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets.
  • Commercially minded with experience supporting operational stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using Power BI to develop reports and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of SQL and working with structured data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables and financial modelling.
