This established company specialise in the manufacture of precision-engineered components and are now looking for an experienced Manual Grinder to join their production team and play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
The day to day of this role includes:
- Setting and operating manual universal grinding machines
- Cylindrical, internal and external grinding
- Reading engineering drawings
- Dressing grinding wheels
- Making machine adjustments to achieve required tolerances
- Carrying out inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators and verniers
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience operating manual universal grinding machines within a precision engineering environment
- The ability to work accurately to tight tolerances
- Confidence in interpreting engineering drawings
Based in South Birmingham or surrounding areas.
