Main Duties:

  • Producing accurate, timely monthly management accounts
  • Compiling and taking ownership of the monthly Management Information pack for board-level review
  • Contributing to rolling forecasts and the annual budgeting cycle, including detailed supporting analysis
  • Proactively flagging risks and opportunities to your line manager
  • Reviewing and challenging existing processes to help drive profitability and continuous improvement
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and ensuring audit deadlines are consistently met
  • Acting as a point of contact for external stakeholders on financial queries
  • Maintaining and updating financial models as required
  • Assisting with the annual audit process, providing information and support as needed
  • Business partnering with non-finance colleagues to build wider commercial and financial understanding
  • Supporting investment appraisals and business case analysis alongside Finance Business Partners
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on time
  • Raising commercial and ad-hoc invoices as requested
  • Taking on other duties appropriate to the level of the role as required

The role is hybrid, based out of the company's Birmingham office, with a split between home and office working. What We Are Looking For:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or studying/finalist)
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role, including month-end close and reporting
  • Strong Excel skills, with an interest in data visualisation and automation tools
  • A confident communicator, comfortable engaging with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset, keen to drive process improvement and add commercial value
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
