I'm currently supporting a well-established Law firm in Birmingham who is currently recruiting for an experience Legal PA / Secretary to support two Senior Partners within the Corporate team.

Role and Responsibilities

A corporate legal secretary / PA typically handles a variety of administrative and legal support tasks, including:

  • Document preparation and management: Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, contracts, and correspondence. Maintaining and organizing legal files and records.
  • Client and lawyer support: Scheduling meetings, managing calendars, coordinating communications, and assisting lawyers with case preparation.
  • Legal research and paralegal tasks: Conducting preliminary research, preparing briefs, and supporting corporate transactions or compliance matters.
  • Manage complex partner diaries, including coordinating across multiple time zones
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external clients
  • Coordinate administrative tasks including travel arrangements and expenses, inbox monitoring, diary management, meeting organisation, billing, time entry, mail, and research
  • Produce and amend documents and correspondence from handwritten, dictated, or printed material, often to tight deadlines

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for drafting documents and liaising with clients.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, corporate law procedures, and document management systems.
