Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Family Solicitor with strong experience in privately funded family law to join a highly experienced specialist team based in Birmingham, West Midlands.
This is a full-time, permanent job offering a salary of £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience, hybrid working with one day per week in the office and four days of remote working, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and additional leave during the Christmas office shutdown, medical insurance, life insurance and flexible working hours to support personal commitments.
Role Responsibilities
The successful Private Family Solicitor will manage a varied and complex privately funded family law caseload, providing high-quality advice from initial enquiry through to conclusion while contributing positively to the wider team and the continued growth of the practice.
- Manage a full caseload of privately funded family law matters, with a focus on complex financial remedy and sensitive children matters.
- Provide continuity of service to clients during changes in representation, building confidence and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Take over ongoing cases efficiently and provide effective advocacy at remote court hearings.
- Respond promptly to new enquiries and convert appropriate referrals into active instructions.
- Advise on the division of high-value assets, including businesses, trusts and offshore holdings.
- Handle cross-jurisdictional divorce matters and work closely with forensic accountants where required to support fair and accurate financial disclosure.
- Draft bespoke pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and other wealth protection agreements, including matters involving international assets or parties.
- Manage complex children disputes involving issues such as international relocation and privacy, including high-profile and high-net-worth matters.
- Supervise support services and an assistant where required.
- Support the Managing Director with performance and compliance matters relating to junior fee earners and solicitors where required.
- Participate in appropriate marketing and brand promotion activity, including Linked In and wider departmental or office initiatives.
Person Specification
The successful Private Family Solicitor will be a qualified Solicitor or Fellow of CILEX with a minimum of 12 Months PQE in privately funded family law matters.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following
