On offer is the chance to work in a highly specialised and varied role for a tech-savvy security organisation, who have amassed an impressive client base and are offering an attractive commission incentive. Approaching their 50th Anniversary, this leading Midlands-based company delivers innovative security solutions in a range of industries including banking, leisure, and public safety. They are going from strength to strength and are seeking an additional Security Design Engineer to work on technically interesting projects.
In this role, you'll be a key figure in the design and bid processes - essentially being the go-to person between the sales and projects team. You'll be producing quotations, estimations, and schematic technical documents for interesting and highly specialised security system design projects. There will be a major focus on CCTV, IP video systems, wide area/wireless networking, and systems integration, as well as Video Content Analysis, Access Control Systems, and Intruder Detection and Perimeter Detection Systems.
This can be a home-based role with some travel out to conduct site surveys and bi-monthly meetings in their Wolverhampton HQ. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and tech-savvy company with the chance to work with some exceptional clients on some highly technical projects.
THE ROLE:
- Working with the sales team to produce designs, bids, estimations, and quotations on projects
- Using Microsoft VISIO to produce schematic drawings to complement proposals
- Focus on CCTV, IP video systems, Access control systems, etc.
- Produce cost estimations
- Home-based role with some site visits
THE PERSON:
- Previous experience with project design, costing, estimating, and quotations
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronics principles
- Security Systems background required
- Experience producing high-quality technical documents
