Calling all Law graduates! This position is perfect for a law graduate who is not looking to qualify. Our client is currently recruiting for a Data Protection Assistant, working two days per week in their glossy offices based in Birmingham city centre! This role is to join a leading tech provider recognised for their collaborative culture, innovation, and commitment to professional growth, joining their Information Security Team, providing operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting effective governance processes and helping keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Helping safeguard sensitive information and support strong data protection practices across the organisation.
  • Working with suppliers to ensure standards, risks and compliance requirements are being effectively managed.
  • Contributing to initiatives that help protect the organisation from cyber threats and strengthen our security posture.
  • Turning data and insights into clear, meaningful reports that support informed decision-making.
  • Supporting audits, compliance checks and assurance activities to help maintain high standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Taking on a range of other relevant tasks and projects, gaining valuable experience across governance, risk, compliance and security.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in compliance tasks.
  • Experienced in working in a processed heavy role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and comfortable using digital tools to manage information, documents and day-to-day tasks.
  • Confident managing multiple tasks, deadlines and competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, reports or compliance documentation, with a commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Able to work independently, use initiative and handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
