As Assistant Tax Manager, you'll support the delivery of both compliance and advisory services while managing your own portfolio of clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients
- Reviewing tax returns and ensuring work is completed to a high standard
- Supporting junior team members with technical queries and development
- Assisting with advisory projects including restructures, succession planning, and tax planning assignments
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Acting as a key point of contact for client queries
- Supporting senior management on complex tax matters and specialist projects
- Identifying opportunities to add value and introduce additional services
- Working closely with wider service lines to provide a joined-up client experience
What You'll Need:
- ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or part-qualified and nearing completion)
- Strong tax experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
- Exposure to personal and/or corporate tax compliance
- Previous experience reviewing work and supporting junior staff
