Our Client is recruiting for a role within the business services industry in Birmingham.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, you will provide legal and administrative support across a broad range of contractual matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of low to medium complexity contractual matters.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risks and compliance requirements.
  • Identifying legal and commercial risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
  • Liaising with internal departments and external organisations to obtain information and progress legal matters.
  • Maintaining accurate contract records and supporting contract life cycle management processes.
  • Coordinating contract execution processes and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Providing administrative and operational support to the wider Legal Services team.
  • Assisting senior legal colleagues with meetings, note-taking and project-based work where required.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • A legal qualification, law degree, paralegal background or equivalent relevant experience is desirable.
  • Experience within an in-house legal team, professional services environment or regulated organisation would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to contract administration.
  • Knowledge of contractual risk identification and practical risk mitigation.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at all levels.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
