I'm currently working with a highly successful and expanding UK Broker Network that is investing heavily in the growth of its Commercial Insurance division. As the team continues to expand, they're looking to connect with talented insurance professionals at various stages of their careers. Whether you're an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker, Account Handler or Senior Account Handler, or have a background within the Commercial Insurance sector generally, this business offers excellent support, ongoing professional development, and clear progression opportunities. ACCOUNT HANDLER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handling renewals and mid-term adjustments for a commercial book of business
  • Taking inbound new business enquiries and progressing them through to quote
  • Speaking directly with insurers to negotiate terms and place cover
  • Preparing and presenting quotations to clients, talking them through options
  • Building and maintaining relationships with both clients and insurers
  • Keeping client and policy records accurately updated on the system

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Insurance experience preferred but not essential; Acturis experience would be advantageous
  • Passed or working towards Cert CII
  • Confident asking the right questions to understand client needs
  • Good communication skills, both on the phone and in writing
  • Able to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Comfortable building rapport with clients and underwriters alike
