An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Materials Technician to join a specialist technical team supporting customers across aerospace, motorsport, defence, medical, energy, nuclear, and advanced engineering sectors.
The Role
Working closely with the Laboratory Supervisor, you will ensure customer testing requirements are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
You will also play an important role in improving laboratory processes and supporting technical enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out materials testing in line with customer requirements.
- Review specifications and prepare test plans.
- Maintain accurate test records and documentation.
- Assist in improving laboratory procedures and testing processes.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
- Promote high standards of quality, accuracy and Health & Safety.
About You
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical ability.
- Able to follow technical procedures accurately.
- Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous laboratory or engineering experience is advantageous.
